French tech site Blog Nouvelles Technologies (BlogNT) turned its attention to foldable displays in May 2026. Yohann Poiron published an in-depth analysis of the Single Flex Pro, Aura Displays' foldable AMOLED portable monitor, for a French-speaking audience.
What BlogNT focused on
Rather than a hands-on test, the piece is a decoding of the concept. BlogNT walked through the 13.3-inch AMOLED panel in a 3:4 format, its 1536 x 2048 resolution at 60Hz, 117% NTSC color coverage and 300 nits of brightness, all housed in an aluminum chassis of roughly 710 grams.
The article spent time on the three folding positions, flat, slightly curved or open like a book, and on the plug-and-play USB-C connection that works with both Windows and macOS laptops, with HDMI as an alternative.
A measured, critical eye
BlogNT did not treat the Single Flex Pro as a must-buy. It noted that the brightness limits use outdoors or in very bright rooms, and that the absence of a built-in battery means the screen always depends on a cable and a power source.
The site also saw the price as the main hurdle, narrowing the audience to professionals, and questioned how much a foldable design adds compared with conventional 13- to 16-inch portable screens. In its view, a larger 17-inch foldable model would be the more promising direction for the concept.
We think these are fair observations. The Single Flex Pro is a first-generation product built for people who prioritize the smallest possible footprint in their bag, and that trade-off will not suit every workflow.
Why it matters
Coverage from a French tech publication helps bring the foldable monitor conversation to European readers, and its questions are the right ones for a brand-new category to answer.
